Colour Q Mercy Fairy

The Tuesday challenges are complete. My brain hurts. The colour challenges from Colour Q are usually nice and easy and I wouldn't of had a problem till the Pumpkin Pie is thrown in there.  And then to make it work with Mercy Tuesday's sketch challenge, which I considered nice and easy. Took me over an hour to figure it all out. Tried this layer in this colour, ugh! So tried a different layer with different colour and on and on and on. I made alot of scrap pieces just to get it right. I happy with the way it turned out but I still wish the Pumpkin Pie wasn't added to the mix.

She's a cute little fairy from Inkadinkado stamp set I bought a very long time ago.

Diva Coffee Throwdown

Since I had the day off today instead of yesterday, which is actually annoying since I had big plans for last night, but I'll get over it by stamping to my hearts content all day and all night. Well, maybe not all day, I had to eat and watch Law and Order SVU! I made two cards this afternoon anyway, and  that is my point. There were alot of challenges to choose from for Wednesday, but I, of course want a sketch and a colour challenge. So I picked Diva Coffee Break sketch and Colour Throwdown.

I was thinking great fall colours, even though we woke up to snow and cold this morning, which was 4:16 am for me today ( I went back to bed at 6:00 am after I checked out the challenges). I haven't used this stamp set in a long, long while. I think this card turned out manly and for any occasion really. "From the heart" can mean anything right, like I love you from the heart, my sympathies from the heart, thinking of you from the heart, thank you.
Hope you likey!
Stamp set: Autumn Days, Many Merry Messages
Card Stock: Cajun Craze, Ealry Espresso, Pear Pizzazz, Very Vanilla

Tre-Day Splitcoast Challenges

As the title implies, it's a three-in-one challenge card all made using Splitcoaststampers challenges. Monday's challenge was to use the technique W.I.S.H (water, ink, spray, hold). Tuesday's challenge was a colour combo challenge using Perfect Plum, Baja Breeze and Pear Pizzazz. And finally, Wednesday's challenge is a sketch. I wasn't too crazy about the layout but I managed to pull something together. The more I stare at the card, the more I am liking it. I also included the Simon Says challenge...Sparkle! That part was easy once I figure out which stamped image I was going to use.
I had stamped these little guys last year (at least I'm hoping it wasn't the year before, but quite possible) using one of my stampin' gals stamp. I have 4 more to use up.
Stamp set: Not sure
Card Stock: Naturals white, Whisper white, Perfect Plum, Baja Breeze, Pear Pizzazz.
Ink: Perfect Plum
Markers: Perfect Plum, Baja Breeze, Pear Pizzazz, Basic Black, Real Red, Peach Parfait
Accessories: Cuttlebug, Sledding folder, Snowflake folder, Stickles (Silver Ice and Crystal Ice), Crystal effect, page protector, sponge dauber

Oh Beautiful Luminary

I was planning projects for my Christmas party for my Stampin Gals. I knew I wanted to do this, and to do that, and I came up with four easy to complete projects. And then I remembered one of the gals (thanks Lorna) sending me a link on luminaries and thought, "that is a good project". So I get started on figuring out my dimensions, which DSP papers I was going to use. Then I make a dummy out of scrap paper, but I complicated things because I was putting a twist on it. I was adding a "drawer" to store 4 tea lights.
I am keeping notes because if I want to reproduce it and let my gals reproduce it, I need kind of a tutorial, a step by step guide. I don't know exactly how long it took me to do all this but by the time I finished my actual luminary, it was time to get ready for work. I had long ago given up on the tutorial since things were not going my way as easily as I wanted. And I knew that no one at the Christmas party, who might be consuming a bit of alcohol, would want to be doing this, now, complicated project.
So here it is:

I do love it. It came out gorgeous. And I would probably make it again as a gift for someone but not anytime soon.  Maybe after a couple of weeks have gone by and I have forgotten all my frustrations with it. Maybe.

ScrapMaster Mojo W.I.S.H

I was thinking that the challenges that I was going to participate in were going to be a colour combo and a sketch challenge.  But then I visited the Monday Splitcoaststampers Technique challenge, and I thought I'd go for a three-in-one challenge today. I could do this! My only real issue was the Scrapmaster's Paradise Colour Combo Challenge.
I always sit at my desk and put colour swatches of the colours that I am going to use. These are not pretty colours to put together on big swatches. I could do two of them but these three...
The technique today was W.I.S.H. which stands for Water, Ink, Spray, Hold. I used a page protector cut open instead of the ziploc bag they suggested. The outcome was stupendous!  These colours and that technique definitely GO together.
Now for the layout.... using these colours...  I used the Mojo Monday sketch.

So here is my card:

Ink: Bravo Burgundy,
Markers: Chocolate Chip, Real Red, Regal Rose, Wild wasabi, and Basic Gray
