Dawn's Wedding Card

My friends Dawn and Logan had their wedding on September 3, 2011. It was such a beautiful day for the wedding. And the bride and groom looked awesome. I can't wait to see all the picture, professional and not. I even got a special thank you for helping out with the invitation and the guestbook scrapbook. I got teary eyed at the mention. I love stamping and now I love scrapbooking too, so it was a no brainer when she asked me to help out.
Here is the card I made for their wedding. I used her wedding colours of Basic Black and Melon Mambo.

Stamp set: Nature Walk

This is the inside of the card before we signed it.
And this is the card that I cased from Michelle Zindorff. She is an awesome stamper.

I'm glad Dawn liked it and that Logan was WOWed by it.

Scrapmaster's Paradise & Sweetest Thing

It's been a while since I have blogged but that doesn't mean that I haven't had time to stamp. This card uses the Scrapmaster Paradise 's Colour Combo and the Sweetest Thing sketch challenge.
Stamp Set: Field Flowers
Card Stock: Pacific Point, Lucky Limeade, Pool Party, Whisper White, and Blueberry Crisp DSP
Ink: Lucky Limeade, Pacific Point, Pool Party, Shimmer Schmooch spray.
Accessories: pearl, glue dots, punches: fancy flower, five petal flower and boho blossom.

I also made a wedding card for my friend who's getting married on Saturday. I know, I am a true procrastinator and love waiting for the crunch to get things done. I will post this card by Monday, don't want Dawn to see it already. I did use her wedding colours: Melon Mambo and Black.
Stay tuned!

Card Making Day at Carol's House

Sunday might have been a beautiful day out or it might not have been.  I wouldn't know since I spent the better part of the day making card challenges at a good friend's house. Yup, my friend's name is Carol and we had a ball. I brought along with me four different colour challenges and five sketch challenges. We ended up only making two cards each. And here they are:
So this is Carol's card. She used the Sketch N Stash Challenge and Scrapmaster's Paradise Colour Challenge. She used one my new favourite stamp sets that even I haven't inked up yet. But I will soon. She had to move the sentiment's placement to balance out the card and I think it looks right where it's suppose to be.
And this is Carol's second card. She used the Diva Coffee Break Sketch Challenge and 4 Crafty Chicks Colour Challenge. I love the font of the Happy Birthday sentiment and of course the cupcake punch. Can you imagine we used to cut things like that out with scissors? And the big circle Cuttlebug embossing is magnificent, adds the right texture. Beautiful!
And here is one of my cards. Everyone who knows me knows that I have issues with purple. There isn't too many purple cards in my shoe boxes. But after a few hems and haws, I decided to use the Splitcoast Stamper's Colour Challenge along with Diva Coffee Break's Sketch Challenge. I still ended up fiddling a while with the purple, putting it here, no there, nope maybe this way but I am glad with the way it turned out. And I got to use my new crafty tiles; don't know how well you can see them under the flowers.

And finally this card. Originally Carol was going to use this stamp set and this colour combo. I suggested a few things but then I realized that I was actually doing the challenge for her. So she moved on to something else. I get all excited sometimes, I tell ya! Sorry Carol. This layout from Sketch Saturday took me a while to get the colours from 4 Crafty Chicks right. I could get any of the 3 colours ok but adding the fourth, ugh! So I tried many times, and made a few scraps along the way but I am very satisfied with this card. And I love this stamp set, really only the butterfly.

I will enter my cards for the challenges that are still current. Unfortunately I am too late for Splitcoast.
I hope that we can do this again soon. It's fun getting all creative with a good friend.
Have a great day! And I hope you enjoyed the beautiful cards.

Great Friends Stamp Class

I have returned! For how long I can't be sure but for today I am Here. LOL! Next Tuesday evening I will be hosting a Stamp Class using the Great Friends stamp set. More details on that later on in this blog. We will be making 5 cards (it's usually 4 cards but because I 've had to reschedule it twice already, I am including a 5th for free for your patience).
The problem I am facing is that I have made 12 different cards and love all of them and how to reduce it to just 5. The solution is to ask you, my friends and family, to pick them out. You vote for the 5 that are your favourites, even if you're the only one who likes it. You have until Sunday May 29th in the morning to vote. I will post again on Sunday afternoon the winners.
It doesn't matter if you are able to attend or not; I still want your vote. If you have posted your votes already on Facebook, I thank you. You can vote via email, on Facebook, or on blog comments.
So here are the cards. I have numbered them so it makes it easier for you to tell me which ones you have voted for.
